We've reached the end of an era and don't know how we feel about it.
Channel 7 have officially cancelled Dancing With The Stars.
A spokeperson for Channel 7 spoke with The Daily Telegraph this afternoon confirming the shocking news.
"We’ve had a great deal of enjoyment and fun during the incredible 12 years of tulle and twirling Dancing has given us all. The audience numbers from the last season were disappointing though, and the show will not return in 2017."
The show first appeared in 2004 with Bec Hewitt, then Cartwright, winning the competition. Grant Denyer also won the competition in 2006, when the show was at it's peak.
The show's viewing ratings have bounced up and down over the years but only 883,000 metro viewers tuned in to last years finale, a big drop compared to the 1.04 million viewers who watched the premiere in 2014.
It's been a sparkly 12 years friends, see you on the other side.
