So who doesn't regard Blues Clues as one of the TV shows that defined their childhood?! Or if it doesn't make the cut for childhood memories, then you will still surely remember the absolute legend that hosted the show... that guy ...Steve Burns!

Let's just  rewind for a second here to a little back story about that guy Steve and that show, Blues Clues.

In 1996 ,Nickelodeon launched a show that would revolutionize children's television. Not only offering a funky theme song, the show featured Steve talking to regular household items like salt shakers, whilst speaking in a French accent and trying to understand what his blue dog was leading him too through cryptic paw print clues.

The addictive show made a celebrity out Steve, he was even named one of People magazine's most eligible bachelors in 2000. However, his mysterious exit from the show in 2002 has long been the stuff of television consipracy theories until the truth can finally be revealed now!

On the show, they said Steve went to college but, in real life, rumors were going crazy as to why he departed the show, so far fetched were some that they even speculated that he had died of a drug overdose!

Thankfully the ACTUAL truth is alot less crazy than that.

In a 2006 special that was celebrating 10 years of the show, Steve revealed the reason behind his departure was because he was going bald!!

"I knew I wasn't going to be doing children's television all my life. Mostly because I refused to lose my hair on a kids TV show, and it was happening fast."

Well there you go! Not even Blue could have cracked that one!
