Believe it or not, but one of the fan faves of this season of The Bachelorette was pretty close to be The Bachelor himself!
Well when we say fan fave, we use this term lightly, because you either love him or you love to hate him.
Yes, we are taking about Sam Johnston.
Even though he insists he’s no bad guy after being named the Keira Maguire of this series.
In case you missed that drama Keira was labelled the villain of Richie Strahan’s season and man did she own that role. She is also #TeamSam.
Sam told the Daily Telegraph, “I am not the bad guy, I guess I have just been the most opinionated person in the first episodes…. I’m definitely not the Keira of this season. I find it all kind of funny. I don’t think I’m mean or rude.”
So far what we have seen of Sam on the show hasn’t been all that positive. It has focused on his tension with model Rhys Chiltern.
Fans have been quick to label him cocky and arrogant because of his confidence on screen.
Sam is also a model and is managed by Chadwicks modelling agency… believe it or not the only reason he decided to take part in The Bachelorette is because he initially auditioning to be The Bachelor.
Sam has revealed to the Daily Telegraph, “They asked me to try for The Bachelor first and I went through the start of the audition process… I wasn’t ready at the time and I thought this would be a great opportunity and more fun… I am not opposed to falling in love by any means but worst case scenario is I make 16 good mates and one great chick mate or 16 good mates and fall in love with Georgia so I didn’t really see any negatives to this whole thing.”
We are so obsessed with this season aready.
