Australia's a big country, there's no doubt about it, but it kind of sucks that it costs so much money to fly from one coast to the other.

With domestic flights on the east coast costing anywhere from $30 to $200, most people can fly willy nilly without breaking the bank, but if you want to go to Perth you basically have to save for months in advance.

Those who fly to Perth on the regular can now breathe a sigh of relief though, because TigerAir have announced a new route that will cost you under $200!

The route will go between Brisbane and Perth and one way tickets will start at $99 a pop.

But that's not the only good news, Tigerair CEO Rob Sharp has also announced a Brisbane to Whitsunday route that will run four times a week with one way fares only coming to $49!

Rob said that "there’s definitely market demand for these two new routes" and they'll even be bringing in an extra plane to improve flight performance and timing.

Summer is looking very good right about now..
