If you’ve held onto your old Super Nintendo or Game Boy you could be in luck, because people are flogging off their old consoles for thousands of dollars on eBay!
A first edition Game Boy in mint condition can attract bids of up to $2600, according to news.com.au and other media sources.
As expected, it’s pretty rare to come across one of these on eBay. However we did manage to find listings for Game Boy Pockets and Game Boy Colors that were listed for hundreds of dollars – the Pokemon edition seems especially popular!
And if you’ve held onto your Gameboy games and still have them in mint condition in their original boxes you could also be in luck.
But that’s nothing compared to the prices that rare Super Nintendo consoles are going for! If you’re lucky enough to be the owner of a mint condition limited edition console you could be about to make thousands of dollars.
And don't forget your games!
As is often the case with these sorts of listings, not all of them seem to be attracting bids. Mint condition in the original box is key. Your damaged old Super Nintendo that hasn’t worked since 1996 probably won’t get the same sorts of results.
