For the people who are in the iPhone club and have noticed the plastic vertical lines on the back but have absolutely no idea why they are there, this is for you.

If you don’t know what we are talking about and have never noticed the lines, they are on top and bottom of the iPhone 6.

While most of us thought they were a not so funky design… it turns out they are there for a very, very, very important reason.

They are actually the antennas … yup, so these random lines connect you to your network.

In older iPhone models, the antennas were hidden inside the phone, but since the iPhone 6 was released, they are now all placed on the outside.

A lot of users believe that the outside antennas are the reason for the poor service and have complained directly to Apple… so maybe in the next update they will go back to their old ways.

But to be honest, until today we didn’t even know what they were… so it doesn’t bother us.
