It feels like the only thing people want right now is the iPhone 7, so we are all accustomed to the slogan ‘This is 7’.

Sounds pretty safe, right? Wrong! 

According to Quartz, the phrase doesn’t work in Chinese. On the mainland, it says ‘7, is here’; ‘This, is exactly iPhone 7’ in Hong Kong and ‘Exactly is 7’ in Taiwan!

It gets worse for the tech company, as the word ‘seven’ is slang for penis in Hong Kong. I suppose you can read out that phrase for yourself…
