The world was swept off its feet when Snapchat gained ground and had us all documenting our days away (or getting peeved off at our friends for not just being in the freakin’ moment… ).

Its sudden popularity was unexpected and rose like a rocket.

It seems like every other social media app wants in on the action, because just like Instagram's new Snapchat-esque stories feature… Facebook Messenger is doing the same thing…

The popular messaging app is testing the feature, called ‘Messenger day’, in Poland, which allows users to share a whole heap of pics and vids with their mates… which will then disappear into thin air after 24 hours.

Sound familiar? You betcha.

In case you didn’t know, Facebook attempted to purchase Snapchat back in 2013 for $3 billion, but the company pulled a Mean Girls on Facebook and refused to sell.

This begs the question: is Facebook trying to out-Snapchat Snapchat so they become irrelevant?

Snapchat called, they want their ideas back.
