Oh man, this is not the news we wanted on a Friday, our phones could literally be a ‘time bomb’ waiting to break on us.
HOW CAN WE BE CALM RIGHT NOW?
Basically Apple experts have discovered that both versions of the iPhone 6 are prone to the ‘touch disease’… OH MY GOD.
What is the ‘touch disease’ you might ask? Well, this means that the touchscreen can become completely unresponsive… once again… OH MY GOD.
The website, iFixit, were the first to recognised the disease and have stated that even though we haven’t heard of it before, it is actually “incredibly common”.
They wrote on their website,“There’s no way to tell exactly how many phones are afflicted with what we’re calling Touch Disease, but every repair tech we spoke to told us that the problem is incredibly common.”
If your best friend… we mean phone… is affected by the disease it will appear with the screen turning grey with a flickering bar at the top of the screen, which will then result with the screen becoming unresponsive… again… OH MY GOD.
They have also discovered that the problem is caused when the inner connection between the phone’s hardware stop responding to each other, which then stops the screen from working.
Jason Villmer, who is an owner of a mobile phone repair shop, revealed, "This issue is widespread enough that I feel like almost every iPhone 6/6 Plus has a touch of it (no pun intended) and are like ticking bombs just waiting to act up."
If you think your phone could be at risk, make sure you have it backed up and your warranty is up to date… right now the only way to fix the issue is with a replacement… but they can’t guarantee the phone wont have the same issue.
