We all know the terror that sets in when our precious phones slip from our hands and plummit to certain concrete demise.

It's excruciating and no matter how hard we try to save them... we never succeed.

What becomes even more excruciating is the damage our pockets suffer when fixing our attached-at-the-hip best friend... we mean phone.

Sadly, we either waive our phones having a healthy life, or wave goodbye to our moolah.

Thankfully, things have taken a turn in the right direction and we won't have to spend a sh*! load on fixing said best friends any longer!

Apple has gone seriously under the radar with their latest low-key announcement, obvs hidden beneath the publicity of the iPhone 7, to reveal they're tweaking the AppleCare+ extended warranty program.

Under the new plan, you'll be covered for up to two screen repairs for only $45 each time! Which is obvs a great reduction, considering it was previously $99.

However, if it's anything other than a cracked screen repair, then you'll be set back $149...

AppleCare+ isn't exactly cheap, coming in at $189...

Now, no one ever really cares about a warranty 'til it's too late and they actually need one, so it might be best to save yourself the regret and have a look into it!

No, this does not mean you can just throw your phone around willy nilly like you used to when you wanted your parents to buy you a new phone, using the excuse 'I have noooooo idea how it broke, Mum!'

Don't lie, we know you did it.

Oh, and just to reiterate - things like water damage aren't included in the reduction. So don't take your bestie  phone swimming.
