Summer is almost here to bring us the holiday cheer we’ve been waiting for, so when it comes to hitting the streets in our best style, of course we want to be rocking the best hairstyles possible!

As we scour the net and stores for the perfect swimsuit, breezy dress and heels to get everyone looking our way, we’ve been blessed with the TOP hair trends, from the experts, that we should all be getting ASAP.

Wella Professionals’ Creative Director Renya Xydis and ELEVEN Australia’s co-Creative Director (and three-time Hairdresser of the Year!) Joey Scandizzo recently shared their inside secrets with Mamamia and we are heading straight to the salon for these perf looks!

Without further adieu, behold the hair trends you’ll be rocking this summer!

Feathered Fringes

This one is a no-brainer and has been stirring up a storm in Hollywood already!

Low-Maintenance Hair

Ever see those girls who look like they woke up with effortlessly beautiful locks? Well, that’s the dream everyone is asking for, which can be achieved with lots of movement and texture to create a gentle and feminine look.

Razor Precision

Scandizzo explained that, “If hair is medium-length, I am doing a lot of subtle under-cuts to allow hair to be textured, but not sit too triangular.

“For shorter hair, I am doing a lot of tight backs and sides… a lot of length on the top so volume can be created.”

‘The Shag’ Haircut

Think Alexa Chung – loads of layering around the face and it’s sexy AF.

Textured Bobs.

There are even three-tiered bobs which will accentuate your eyes, neck and cheekbones!

With a “little more feathering on the ends” a bob can really be switched up.

Subtle but Shiny Highlights

Go for the healthy and shiny look, full of balayage.

‘Natural Movement’

Do you ever just want to keep your natural style, but give it a little more umph?

Scandizzo revealed this is a popular look right now and recommends your hair stay at about bra-length so it can be given a tonne of layers to give it extra texture, volume and movement.
