Don't deny it, no 90's child/teen hood was complete without blasting ' Absolutely Everybody' and 'Shine'. The singer who brought us these amazing hits is Australian icon Vanessa Amorosi but where exactly has she been the past few years?
Well the now 35- year-old singer has made her first appearance on Australian television in years appearing on Today, talking to Richard Wilkins along side Eurythmics star Dave Stewart and Aussie rock legend Jon Stevens.
The three musical icons are now collaborating on a project together that sees them playing in a Stakes Day concert in Melbourne in early November, but the question on everyone's lips is what has Vanessa been up too?! Well she is very much settled working and living in her new home of Los Angeles.
"The energy is awesome and it is good for the creative brain ... this city also has a lot of creativity going on, but it will be nice to go home."
She also revealed that although she is loving life in LA, she does miss Australia.
"I know, I miss home, I really do."
The performance on home soil for Vanessa will mark her first public appearance in years, as it's been seven looooong years since has released an album, which was 2009's Hazardous.
An album that was planned to be followed up in 2011 never happened as the singer cut ties with her record company, Universal, but she insisted that it was a mutual split and she was looking forward to pursuing other opportunities.
She has also kept a low-profile on social media the past few year only making sporadic posts over the past two years, but it looks like she has still been fine tuning her musical talents and we think this upcoming performance is a sign of only good things to come from Vanessa!!
