We realize that a lot of our life plans aren’t exactly going to plan.
Did you want to e a rock star with worldwide fans? An actor who could make everyone’s hearts warm in this cold world? A famous designer/chef/athlete/whatever-else-you-could-be-famous-in?
Unfortunately most of us are still working nine to five just to stay alive and have said sayonara to our dreams because life can be cruel…
But never fear!
Because the jobs these celebs had before making it big prove there’s obviously hope for our dreams.
Before Kendall Jenner was walking the most renowned catwalks and having all eyes in her direction, she was a dog walker.
Dogs are our best friends and have love on tap like a never-ending packet of Tim Tams, so maybe the dream job was actually Kendall’s dog walking days…
We realise that, yes, Kendall was born into a family that rose to fame in a reality series, but who says your dog walking career won’t make you some serious connections if you play your cards right?
Jennifer Lawrence is the role model our generation has always needed. She’s funny, smart, humble and one powerful but compassionate woman!
But before we were wowed by her Oscar Award-winning performances, her first job was as an assistant nurse at a summer camp her parents run.
She was basically Prim to the dozens of campers running around thinking they were Katniss and Peeta, getting injured on their adventures.
Andrew Garfield is a heartthrob, even if we’re upset he is no longer dating Emma Stone. Before we all fell in love with him, he was a Starbucks barista making latte’s and dealing with cranky customers.
Let’s face it, even a non-famous Andrew would make us fall in love if he was our coffee guy.
Speaking of, Emma Stone had the most adorable first job that proves why we love her quirky nature so much. When she made the risky decision to drop out of school and follow her dreams, she worked as a baker at a dog treat bakery for extra cash! Not that she took to it very well, revealing to Vanity Fair in 2011 that, “I think three people called my specific cookies inedible for their dogs.”
Kanye is the self-professed genius of this generation, but before he was telling everyone he wants to run for President in 2020, he first worked at a Gap store.
If you’re working in retail, bopping around to the music and pretending you don’t know how to smile for customers, maybe you’ll be a rapper/designer/Kanye-mini-me in a few years.
Dwayne Johnson, The Rock, is the rock of so many people’s lives, giving endless inspiration when it comes to health, fitness, family and career. If he can go from being a dishwasher to one seriously influential man, we can achieve anything.
Don’t give up on your dreams.
