It looks like 2017 isn't off to the best start for someone in the media industry, because they tried to circulate a massive rumour about pop star Ariana Grande.

Media outlet, AP Entertainment, who are the celebrity branch of the Associated Press, took to their Twitter account this morning to announce that our gal Ariana is pregnant.

The tweet read, "Ariana Grande is pregnant, guess who's the father? #ArianaGrande."

We're sure a lot of fans were in a frenzy over the so-called 'breaking news', but the tweet was soon deleted and everyone was left a little confused.

A few hours later, the company took to social media again to clear the air.

Perhaps they were an Ariana fan and wanted to take all the attention away from Beyoncé's recent pregnancy news?

Either way, we think there was probably a better way about it all that could have saved them most-probably losing their job.
