Yesterday the internet went crazy after Nicole Kidman said that Americans should support Donald Trump because "however it happened, he's there."
The President-elect is a touchy subject in the U.S at the moment and a lot of the actresses fans threatened to boycott her for what she said.
Today, though, Nicole has stepped out and clarified her comments.
During an interview with Extra, she explained that she made that statement months ago and that it was just expressing her support for democracy.
“I was trying to stress that I believe in democracy and the American constitution. It’s that simple. I’m out of it now. That’s what I said, and it’s that simple."
Nicole has dual citizenship with Australia and America, meaning she was actually able to vote in the election.
Fellow actress Zoe Saldana recently stepped out saying that Donald Trump was getting too much negative press.
So come on guys, can't we all just be friends?
