Lara Worthington, formerly Bingle, became a national icon when she filmed the tourism ad that broke "where the bloody hell are ya?" into the world.

She's now a beauty entrepreneur and married to one of Australia's best new actors, but remember when she was dating Micheal Clarke, the captain of Australia's cricket team?

Super excited to be taking over @sephoraaus instagram for @thebasebylb today!!

This was probably the most Australian couple ever, but in a recent interview with 60 Minutes the sportsman revealed that the relationship got really tough towards the end.

In 2010, the couple broke off their engagement and shocked the entire country. Lara reportedly broke it off over the phone when the cricketer returned from a cricket test in New Zealand and it all got pretty crazy from there.

Micheal explained in the interview that it was "cameras 24/7" and he "got to a stage when I came back that I actually couldn’t stay in my own house".

Taking a look at my first printed copy of my autobiography. Can't wait for it to launch soon. #michaelclarkeautobiography

“I didn’t feel comfortable. So I ended up hiding in the boot of my mate’s car, he picked me up in the garage, um and snuck out without the media ... seeing me.”

There was also controversy over what happened to the $200,000 engagement ring, as reports suggested that it was flushed down the toilet. Micheal squashed those rumours too, giving those still wondering a bit of closure.

"I’d like to say I’m a very silly man. But I’m not that silly. I’m not throwing any diamond ring down a toilet."

Love the new range @hugoboss #seasonlaunch
