After his hospitalisation, it has been reported that Kanye West has been suffering from depression and paranoia for months prior to the incident.
TMZ has reported that the rapper had felt "paranoid and profoundly depressed," over the last few months, but had not had an episode like this before.
Fans had noticed a change during Kanye's Saint Pablo Tour as he repeatedly spoke to the audience about his feud with Jay Z, saying that their daughters had "never even played together" and asking the rapper to "just call me, talk to me like a man".
He even told them that he knew Jay Z "got killas" and pleaded with his old friend to "please don’t send them at my head," which would have been a big indicator that something wasn't right.
Sources have also told The Hollywood Reporter that Kanye had been bickering with Kim Kardashian over the current renovations on their Calabasas mansion and her own mental state.
"Kim is fed up, she didn’t want Kanye to do the tour in the first place.
"She wanted him by her side as she recovered from her traumatic robbery in Paris.
"She lost days with him while he’s touring and then he made a rash decision to end the concert after ten minutes and go on a rant."
Since being admitted to the UCLA Medical Centre, doctors have said that Kanye is doing a lot better and "that he understands the importance of 'resting and getting help.'"
We're hoping the situation improves soon.
