Bindi Irwin just ensured that her boyfriend Chandler Powell really is part of the family!

The cute couple are currently taking part in Australia Zoo’s Croc Trip 2016, and they’re not just tagging along and watching.

Bindi just revealed that Chandler caught a crocodile on the trip – and he used a technique pioneered by Bindi’s father Steve Irwin.

She wrote on Instagram, “Today was a huge day for me on this #CrocTrip2016. We caught a brand new crocodile in the Wenlock River and we named her Madison. I was so excited that my amazing boyfriend was given the opportunity of taking the head on the jump team. This technique of croc catching was first created by Dad and the most incredible honour is getting assigned to hold the crocodiles head while we attach a tracking device. To see @ChandlerPowell in khaki as such an integral part of the team was really wonderful. I feel extremely blessed to have someone in my life who is so passionate about wildlife and conservation. #ProudGirlfriend

Chandler was also involved in a croc jump earlier in the week.

Steve would be so proud of the way Bindi is continuing his legacy!
