Ben Stiller has revealed that he was diagnosed with "immediately aggressive" prostate cancer.
Ben, 50 was on The Howard Stern Show and opened up about his diagnosis saying that it all happened two years ago, but he kept it quiet and he instantly had surgery to treat it.
The actor/ director hopes that by him opening up about his story he will encourage other men to get checked.
The news came at a massive shock for Ben with him revealing, "It came out of the blue for me… I had no idea".
Of course by receiving news like that it affected him in many ways. He told Howard that he was "creating the whole movie in my head with the funeral".
It was then that he turned to his friends for support, especially his Meet The Parents co-star Robert De Niro who also suffered with prostate cancer for support. Ben also met with Robert’s physician.
We are so glad that he is okay now… it is so important to get checked.
