Our beloved Ed Sheeran is being sued big time for allegedly lifting parts of a very famous song.

Ed has apparently been thinking out loud too much about Marvin Gaye’s hit song Let’s Get It On.

The crooner has been slammed with an intense lawsuit that alleges he ripped off the melody, harmony and rhythm of Let’s Get It On for his song Thinking Out Loud.

The family of Ed Townsend, who co-wrote the 1973 song, is seeking damages.

Here’s Ed’s song.

Here’s Marvin Gaye’s classic hit.

Mind you, this is not the first time the singer has been sued for the same alleged conduct.

Two songwriters sued Ed in June for $20m for allegedly copying material for his hit song Photograph.

Yikes. We’ll keep you posted.
