The "mastermind" behind the boy band groups that dominated the late 1990s and early 2000s, Backstreet Boys and NSYNC has died in prion aged 62.

Don't act like you didn't spend the majority of your tween years belting out to absolute bangers like 'Bye Bye Bye' and 'Larger than life' then you have one man to thank, Lou Pearlman. However, don't get too teary as much as we love and am so glad we have him to thank for bringing Justin Timberlake into our lives, turns out Lou was a bit of a crooked criminal...

Whilst an extremely business savy man, he had been serving a 25 year old prion sentence since 2008 for running a $300 million ponzi scheme, when he passed away due to heart disease according to TMZ.

He had recently been transferred from his prison cell to a Miami Hospital to have scheduled heart surgery, but he passed away before the surgery was complete.

Although he may have left behind a questionable legacy and reputation , for some he made a massive impact on their lives and career.

RIP.
