While Lady GaGa might be having a rough time in her personal life, her career is booming and she just stole a lead role from Beyoncé!
Back in December, Scoopla learned that Queen B would be staring in Bradley Cooper’s directorial debut, which happens to be a remake of Judy Garland’s 1937 hit A Star Is Born.
It has now been revealed that GaGa has been given the role, as they simply couldn’t afford Queen B!
Apparently Bey wanted $8m plus a truckload of perks, which was just too much considering the entire film had a budget of $40m.
A source close to Bradley revealed, “Bradley flew out to direct GaGa in the audition himself, and she knocked it out of the park. Then he personally took the tape to Warner Bros. to get approval.”
She’s already got a Golden Globe in the bag, could this movie give GaGa another Oscar nomination? Fingers crossed.
