Everyone’s favourite Star Wars actor came way too close to leaving us all in this freak accident and we are so grateful he’s okay!
Harrison Ford, aka Hans Solo, if you don’t love him then you obviously don’t have a beating heart, because he’s the guy who has brought us so many laughs and smiles over the years (and who can forget the hottie Harrisonwas in Indiana Jones!).
So, when we heard that he had an all too close call to slipping through to the real dark side, we had a panic at the thought of having nearly lost him!
On the set of the recent Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Harrison had a pretty scary run in when an error occurred.
Foodles Production, who worked on the set of the film, has just pled guilty to two breaches of health and safety legislation, taking responsibility for a hydraulic door operation error which could have almost killed Harrison.
Said hydraulic door wasn’t light by any means, it was actually the weight of a small car and when talking to talk show host Jonathan Ross, Harrisonrevealed the incident he was a part of, saying:
“The door came down and hit me on my left hip because I was turned to my right. And then it flung my left leg up and it dislocated my ankle as it drove me to the floor, my legs slapped on the ramp up to the Millennium falcon and broke both bones in my left leg.”
Turns out those rumours of Harrison breaking all those bones were true after all!
The prosecutor of the case said, “It could have killed somebody. The fact that it didn’t was because an emergency stop was activated!”
We’re so glad Harrison is okay!
