There are so many benefits to getting fit and we have no doubt that you would have heard a lot of them before.
Without sounding like a broken record, we agree that living a healthy life is the best thing you can do for your body, but did you know it can also take you through a massive time warp?
Meet Misty Mitchell, a woman who found out first hand how the time warp works.
The founder of Mind Your Macros weighed 134kg, but after having surgery for a herniated spinal disk, she decided enough was enough.
Misty quit eating carbs and stopped drinking and now, a year later, she looks completely different.
The new me looks like I could fit like a puzzle piece in the old me. That rounded back of mine was pretty bad and I'm so happy I can feel my muscles and spine now. #mindyourmacros #fitness #weightlosscoach #ketogenic #girlswholift #fitchick #fitfam #beforeandafter #beforeandafterweightloss #weightlosstransformation #extremeweightloss
"Most people tell me I look like I’ve lost a lot of years off my age or that I look like I’m in my 20s," she explained.
Misty is 36 years old but when you check out her Instagram, she looks like she could most definitely be in her early twenties.
When talking about her previous life, she said she was still shocked at how she lived but believed her weight gain was initally caused by an inactive lifestyle.
"My weight gain just exploded. On my worst days I probably drank more than half a litre of vodka, which equates to an extra over 1000 empty calories on top of my poor diet."
Cutting down on alcohol can immensly increase weight loss and it looks like in Misty's case, it definitely worked.
She is an inspiration. You go girl!
