Could you imagine winning $42.9million? Probably not. How about, being told you've won $42million, only to have it taken away and replaced with something as simple as a steak dinner...
That's exactly what happened to Katrina Bookman after havin' a slap the other night at the Resorts World Casino in New York.
Yep, the mother-of-four must have had to pinch herself after the slot machine she was sitting at turned around to tell her she had won forty. two. nine hundred. and. forty-nine. six hundred. and. seventy-two. MILLION DOLLARS.
After the thought-to-be-exceptionally-lucky-mummy-winner composed herself, she took herself up to the desk to be all 'b*tch better have my money', however, was told to return the following day.
Like sure, we get it, you have to call and order the semi-trailers that are going to bring all that cash money - but no.
Returning the following day, she received the devastating news that she had, in fact, won NOTHING.
Wait, no, that's wrong... she was offered a steak dinner at the casino.
Katrina took her case to an attorney who has labelled the whole ordeal as "unfair".
"The machine takes your money when you lose. It should pay it when you win," he said.
According to the New York State Gaming Commission, the machine had malfunctioned - which means it "voids all pays and plays."
Katrina has said that she intends to sue the Casino.
