During his campaign for the presidency, the infamous businessman made a lot of bold statements that have obviously won over the American population. So let's take a look at five of the most controversial plans Trump has in store.

1. The Wall

Trump has promised to build a wall one foot taller than the Great Wall of China along the southern border in an attempt to keep Mexicans out… oh and Mexico are going to pay for it too.

2. Guns

On many occasions, Trump has stood by America’s right to bear arms.

"The Second Amendment to our Constitution is clear. The right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed upon. Period.

"The right of self-defense doesn't stop at the end of your driveway. That's why I have a concealed carry permit and why tens of millions of Americans do too. That permit should be valid in all 50 states," he wrote in a position paper last year.

After the Community College shooting in Oregon, Trump stated “By the way, it was a gun-free zone. Let me tell you, if you had a couple teachers with guns in that room, you would have been a hell of a lot better off."

3. Temporarily ban Muslims from entering the country

Over the past year, Trump has stated his call for “a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on." He later updated his view, stating this would only apply to “nations tied to Islamic terror."

4. Repeal Obamacare

Trump wants to replace Obamacare with a marketplace alternative that he says is “terrific” and “so much better.”

5. Abortion

Trump has openly voiced his opinion against abortion unless in cases of rape, incest, and mother endangerment, stating that women and doctors who are involved in abortions should be punished. He later retracted his comment about women being punished. He has also vowed to appoint anti-abortion justices to the Supreme Court, stating “I am putting pro-life justices on the court... and the states will make a decision."
