Prepare to drown in a pool of tears, experts have let us in on what our doggies are dreaming about and it’s all too much.

During an interview with People, Dr. Deridre Barrett, a teacher and Clinical and Evolutionary Psychologist at Harvard Medical School, brought some heartwarming news to out attention.

Answering questions about how our pets sleep, one response had the internet stopping, reviving and surviving -

Q. What do dogs experience when they dream?

A. Humans dream about the same things they’re interested in by day, though more visually and less logically. There’s no reason to think animals are any different. Since dogs are generally extremely attached to their human owners, it’s likely your dog is dreaming of your face, your smell and of pleasing or annoying you.

YOUR DOG IS DREAMING OF YOUR FACE!

Naturally, we all had to take a moment.

Cats, on the other hand, are most likely dreaming about pouncing at plastic bags and plotting your downfall.
