The holiday season is almost here and many of you are probably on the look for love.

But if you thought that chatting up that girl/guy you just met in an Uber (or becoming an Uber driver just to meet some peeps), then think again, because it is now officially a big NO NO.

Customers of the Uber service have flooded them with reports of inappropriate behaviour by drivers, especially towards women passengers, and now the company has placed a huge BAN on flirting.

Before you go raging about Uber ruining your plans, stop and think: this is actually a good idea.

A number of passengers have reportedly been sexually assaulted and harassed, and this ban will help to stamp out such behaviour and keep everyone safe.

Of course, everyone might have a very different definition of what ‘flirting’ entails.

So the company has updated its GUIDELINES so there is no confusion.

The new update calls for everyone in the car to respect one another and for the ‘no sex rule’ to stand strong.

"Please don’t comment on someone’s appearance or ask whether they are single.

“And don’t touch or flirt with other people in the car. As a reminder, Uber has a no sex rule. That’s no sexual conduct between drivers and riders, no matter what."

Come up with a different way to find love this summer.
