Aren't cats just the cutest?

Even if you're not a cat person, you can't deny how beautiful cats are, especially as kittens.

Felines lead pretty lazy lives.

They wake up, eat food, maybe have a bit of a play with one of their toys and then go back to sleep.

They always somehow seem to look adorable as well.

Ever wondered how they do it?

Well, turns out it's because of that tongue of theirs.

The Washington Post has reported that cats rough tounges, actually help to detangle their fur as well clean them.

Cat tongues also have better detangling power than any hairbrush we use.

Yes, even that $150 brush you bought especially FOR detangling.

A study conducted on cats found that in just “a single grooming sweep,” the tongue barbs will move in four directions acting as a flexible comb, Dr. Alexis Noel explained.

“When the tongue glides over fur, the hooks are able to lock onto tangles and snags, when it encounters a tangle, it is able to maintain contact, unlike a standard hairbrush bristle, which would bend and let the tangle slide off the top."

If only we had one of those...

Luckily for us, Dr. Noel also told The Washington Post that they're working on a hairbrush based on a 3D printed cat tongue so we can have luscious locks as well!

Until we're actually able to buy these brushes though, we're just going to continue being extremely jealous of our stylish cats.
