You may have noticed that a lot of your followers on Twitter have changed their profile pictures to a plain black box.
People are also posting these boxes on Instagram and the reason is pretty dark.
The world has turned black for the new hashtags #Blackout and #TwitterBlackout, which were created following the last night's election result.
The hashtags are acting as symbols for those who supported Hillary Clinton and who are enraged about America's new leader.
Please take part in the Twitter blackout by making your layout black, even if you're not American. Let's show solidarity #HesNotMyPresident— #NotMyPresident (@theveIvet) November 9, 2016
