We all know the devastating feeling we get when we check our bank account and it's a little bit less than what we were anticipating.
When we look at the low figures we just can't help but wonder where all of our precious money went.
Well, we might now have a bit of an idea.
ING Direct recently did a bit of research about spending habits here in Australia and as it turns out, there's one day of the week that seems to just chew up all of our funds.
On average, we spend about $93 a day but on Fridays, the average spending amount in Australia climbs up to about $112.
We can kind of understand where these figures come from because, on a Friday, most people opt for takeout because NO ONE can be bothered cooking food.
Just all of the wine.
As anticipated, millennials spend the most on a Friday but most surprisingly, it's the baby-boomers who come in second.
And it turns out, men will spend on average $115 at the end of the week whereas women will only spend $108.
So will this new data stop us from spending all of our money on a Friday night?
Yeah, didn't think so.
