It’s no secret that funds are distributed differently when you’re in a couple vs when you’re single. But just HOW much more are singles spending each year, and on what?
A recent poll conducted by UK site VoucherCodesPro found that single people aged 18-30 spend almost 10K more every year!
The poll, which surveyed 2000 people found that weekly, singles spend an average of $257 a week, compared to the $67 those who are in a relationship are spending.
The site has reported that the top things singles are dishing their dollars on are take away food, restaurant food, nights out, and clothes.
They also spend a lot more on alcohol… three times more to be specific.
The researchers believe it comes down to the fact that couples stay in more than singles and split bills between them, while singles treat themselves to more nights out.
