Okay so we have all been there, it's been a long day at the beach and you are in dire need of a bathroom ... like literally, you feel like you will die if you don't go to the bathroom!
For most of us that would mean an emergency dash to whatever the closest toilet is, and we bet that involves awkwardly standing above the toilet to make sure your precious behind doesn't touch the toilet seat.
Well as it turns out, there is something better than hovering over the toilet and that is SITTING on it!
According to Shape magazine, hovering actually does more harm than good.
"When you don't sit, you can cause the muscles in your pelvic floor (the area between your legs from your pubic bone to the tip of your spine) to tighten as you hover.
That means you have to do more work to force out your pee, and even if you don't force it, when you are squatting those muscles are still tense. This can lead to you not fully emptying your bladder, and increases your chance of infection."
That's definitely not what we want to kickstart summer with, we are going to be really really selective now about the days we are going to be drinking and sans bathroom options for!!
