This heartwarming story will absolutely melt even the most stone heart. Beautiful 17 year old high-school student Andrea Salazar who hails from Texas, got the news that you never want to get of a shocking and devastating diagnosis of being sick with Hodgkin Lymphoma disease.
Instead of being deterred or letting this horrific news hold her down which let's be serious would be totally understandable, she instead has held her head up high and owned the sickness by modeling for a series of beautiful and intimate photos.
Andrea has sadly lost all of her hair due to a series of treatments to try and kill the disease, but she has embraced this whole heartedly in her photoshoot with photographer Gerardo Garmendia who took the stunning photos in a "princess" themed shoot.
"Cancer doesn't stop me from being a princess," Andrea posted on Twitter. Her tweet quickly went viral, racking up 98,000 retweets and 200,000 likes.
"But along with many other things, this journey has taught me to love and accept myself regardless of the way I look. I've learned that the hair on someone's head doesn't define who they are as a person, but their actions and the way they treat others. All girls are princesses, and today I feel beautiful inside and out."
These photos are truly beautiful and inspiring and it's not even about how beautiful Andrea looks but how about how positive and beautiful her message is. We are truly humbled to have seen them and wish all the best for her recovery.
