Everyone has their own likes and dislikes when it comes to the realms of love and relationships.
We’ve got our types, our habits, the little things that make us weak at the knees… but we never realized how weird the things we’re all attracted to could get.
Let’s just say… things get a little freaky.
No, not in a Fifty Shades kind of way.
Yep, you’ve probably all thought this before when you see a guy (or girl) working up a sweat and looking seriously, seriously hot… Well, according to The Social Issues Research Centre, girls are really sensitive to pheromones found in fresh male sweat.
When it’s THAT time of the month
That’s right, while you’re wishing you were not on your period, it turns out that men find women more attractive during that time of the month, thanks to changes in body odour and vocal pitch, and it symbolising fertility!
We’ve always thought that garlic is one of those things used to repel baddies (vampires, bad guys, is there a difference?), and it turns out that it can actually attract the good ones.
Research from the Czech Republic has shown that eating it can actually improve your body odour as it has antioxidants and helps your metabolism… both things which are said to make us more attractive.
Forget your fears of the guy or gal who is after your crush, who just seems to be too gosh darn perfect, because many universities from all around the world have concluded that we are all more attracted to people who look more ‘average’.
Why? These people match up with our mental prototypes of faces and are therefore more familiar and appealing.
A study back in 2009 revealed that men were more attracted to images of women with natural scars than those without any. The same most definitely goes for the guys.
Those flaws are not flaws!
We’re sure there are a tonne of other weird things we’re all attracted to.
