So relationships are hard to get right at the best times but getting the age difference right is even harder.
According to a new study we can actually determine the perfect age, as to whether your relationship has a chance of an everlasting relationship.
A study conducted by Emiry University in Atlanta found that couples with a five-year age gap are 18 percent more likely to split than an equal-age couple, while that figure jumped to 39 percent with a 10-year age gap. For couples with a 20-year age gap, the statistics aren't looking very hopeful, with chances of separation rising to 95 percent.
As for that perfect age difference? The ideal difference is one-year, with a smaller chance of divorce at 3%.
Ahhh the never ending tale of love!
