This photo of an elderly couple meeting up in a bloody BOOK SHOP (#thedream) for a blind date is going viral and love is real again.
Earlier this year, Miriam Steiner (93) and Harold Sharlin (90) met up for a blind date, now, a pic that was snapped is making the rounds once again!
First reported by TODAY, Harold’s granddaughter, Jenny, met Miriam when waiting on her at a restaurant and decided she was a good fit for her grandfather.
Harold explained, “My Jenny was so impressed with Miriam's pep and vigour that she said, 'You'd make a great date for my grandfather’”.
After the death of her husband back in 1999, Miriam hadn’t planned on dating again (omg we’re tearing up already) but decided YOLO let’s do it.
Meeting up at Miriam’s favourite bookstore in Washington D.C, staff snapped a pic of the pair and THEY LOOK SO HAPPY!
"It's very unusual," Miriam said. "We're both in our 90s. We're both handicapped. Neither of us drive. It's not easy, making connections as a senior. But we need it. It's up there with Medicare and Social Security. I hope people remember that."
No news on what's happened since, but we're going to pretend they are together and writing couples' Christmas cards right now.
