This isn’t really the news we wanted on a Tuesday morning or any morning… or any day… EVER!
Growing up we all have pretty big memories of summer days consisting of having an ice block in the backyard in the arvo or those scorching summer days at school where you felt like you were melting and the school canteen delivered the goods.
But those ice bocks weren’t just regular ice bocks, they were one of kind.
They were Sunnyboys.
They were extremely popular all the way through the 90s, but somehow they have faded and we don’t really understand why.
Face it we all still crave them from time to time but now it comes to the devastating news that they have been discontinued.
The makers of the Sunnyboy, the Daily Juice Co, officially announced the end of an era saying, “We have regrettably had to make the hard decision to stop production of the icy treat, SunnyBoy, as of August 2016. Unfortunately, SunnyBoy has experienced a sustained reduction in consumer demand over a long period of time making it necessary to delete the product from our range of water ice treats.
No other products are affected by this deletion and consumers will still be able to purchase all our other popular brands …”
Obviously Australia isn’t dealing very well.
Our thoughts go to everyone during this difficult time.
P.S. you can still buy Zooper Doopers… slay.
