It’s a fear most of us have: going to the hairdresser to try something new but having your hair completely ruined.
No one wants to leave the hairdresser disappointed, but for this Sydney mother, it was much worse.
Nina Mather, a social worker, has slammed a western Sydney hair salon for turning her hair into “trailer trash”. She took to Facebook to explain that despite providing a photo showing the balayage look she wanted, the final result was nothing like it.
When she realised it wasn’t looking good, Nina became extremely upset. “They tried to fix it with more bleach,” she said. Nina then explained she was so disappointed with the result that she refused to pay the $200, but the hairdressers called security and police.
The salon said they would remove $60 from the price and police advised her that legally she had to pay the bill, but was able to file for a refund to NSW Fair Trading.
“Love the trailer trash look!!! $200 bucks worth of bottle bleach!! Worst customer service doesn’t even begin. RIP my awesome hair.”
Nina has since had a consultation with another hairdresser who will begin extensive repair treatment.
