Take a good look at your original copy of Harry Potter... there could be a Philosopher’s Stone inside.
If you bought the original hardback of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone when the classic book was first released, then according to The Sun, you could have $50,000 galleons in your vault.
If you turn to page 53, you will see the list of items Harry needed to purchase for his first year at Hogwarts.
You will also notice that "1 wand" is written twice. DUDE, THAT'S IMPORTANT!
The rare typo is said to only have been made in those first 500 copies sold. So, if you were a mad trend setter in 1997 and bought Philosopher’s Stone before all your friends, CHECK YOUR BOOK NOW!
Matthew Haley, the Head of Books and Manuscripts at Bonhams Fine Books and Manuscripts, stated:
"As the first book in the series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone has a special place in the affections of the millions of readers across the world and the proof reading error about the wand in the first edition has, of course, become a treasured piece of Harry Potter arcana.
Like most enduring books aimed at younger readers, the Harry Potter books also have wide appeal to adults and there is a strong market among collectors for first editions.
This copy is in excellent condition – one of the very best I’ve seen – and we’re expecting a lot of interest."
