Summer is Australia's most loved season, and if we're not spending it cooking on the beach, we're probably elsewhere sipping on a cocktail or two to help us cool down!
Cocktails are kind of a big deal: they taste delicious, you look like you were pulled straight from Sex and the City when you're drinking them - but - they usually tend to cost a pretty penny, so you want to make sure what you're paying for will be worth it!
The good folks at OpenTable have taken the liberty of compiling a list of *the* must-go places this summer for that perfect cocktail so that you don't leave disappointed.
If you're from Sydney:
Manly Wine at Manly Beach
Not only does this place serve up frosé, the latest drink craze, they're also smack bang on the beach! Their drink of choice? The 'Beach Hut' cocktail, full of passionfruit vodka, coconut, ginger, and pineapple!
Pelicano in Double Bay
Seafood... cocktails... seafood... cocktails... Could this place get any more perfect for an Aussie summer?
Pelicano offers two different styles of frosé: one with dry rosé, strawberry syrup, watermelon crush and lemon - the other is a lemon frosé with orange bitters.
Porteno, Gardel's Bar in Surry Hills
Think low lights, vintage, romantic and classic drinks. Perfect for date night.
Their drink of choice? Their 'Seasonal Sgroppino' made with vodka, season fruit sorbet and sparkling wine.
If you're from Melbourne:
Father's Office in the CBD
Nothing beats having a drink with some greasy American style food and that's exactly what this place offers + their frosé is only $10 daily!
Their drink of choice? The 'Improved Cosmo' made with Beefeater gin, Grand Marnier, lime, raspberry, and pomegranate fresca.
Mr Miyagi in Prahran
Japanese food and cocktails always means a good time. The restaurant/bar also serves up frosé made with dry rosé, strawberries, and sugar, served with a pretty flower!
Their drink of choice? The 'Salted Watermelon Martini' made with gin, apple, watermelon, Midori and fresh watermelon balls.
Fitzfoy Social in Fitzroy
Fairly new to town, the Fitzroy Social have hit the ground running with $10 frosé every day of the week!
Their drink of choice? the 'Fitzroy Swizzle' made with (take a deep breath) Kraken spiced rum, Appleton Estate Reserve, fresh lemon, pineapple and orange juice, grenadine, falernum, demerara syrup, and aromatic bitters! Phew!
And if you're from Brisbane:
Tribeca NYC in Chevron Island
Want to go to NYC but can't afford the ticket? We've got the answer right here. Tribeca NYC offers all the cocktails you'd be sipping on there, including one called 'The Big Apple' made with vodka, apple juice, mint, and lime.
Rogue Bar & Bistro in Newstead
Simple food but eccentric cocktails! The elegantly designed establishment offers a 'Lumberjack' cocktail made with bacon-infused bourbon, orange, and maple syrup.
Hideaway Kitchen & Bar in Broadbeach
New to the Goldcoast, here you'll find Asian infused food and summer cocktails in a quirky setting!
Their drink of choice? The 'Tom Yum Siam' made with vodka, Malibu, lychees, lime juice, lemongrass, kaffir lime, and fresh chilli!
We hope this was helpful! Please show us your summer cocktails @Scoopla!!!
